The 10th Mountain Division, a division of the Army during WWII that fought in high alpine conditions, trained in Colorado near Leadville to prepare for combat. This two-week rental trunk not only lets students engage with artifacts this division used to fight in high alpine conditions but also includes photographs, primary source sets, and lesson plans to guide student learning.

  • Rental Period: Two Weeks
  • Each Rental Period starts and ends on a Friday
  • Cost: $30 per trunk when picked up and dropped off at the History Colorado Center
    • You can pick up and drop off your Artifact Trunk any time during the rental, including over the weekend
  • Late return and replacement fees may apply
