Colorado Miners Artifact Trunk

Experience the boom and bust cycles of mining in Colorado. This two-week rental trunk is packed with various artifacts, lesson plans centered in primary source analysis, and more. Use the objects and stories in the Colorado Miners Artifact Trunk to put the past in your students’ hands!

Details

• Perfect for students in Grades 3–5 and Grade 8
• Rental Period: two weeks
• Cost: $30 per trunk when picked up and dropped off at the History Colorado Center
  • You can pick up and drop off your Artifact Trunk any time during the rental, including over the weekend
• If you live more than 50 miles outside of the Denver Metro Area, this trunk can be shipped to you for an additional $50 per trunk
  • Return shipping instructions will be provided
    
• Each two-week Rental Period starts and ends on a Friday
  
  • Artifact Trunks are shipped out on the first Friday of the Rental Period, meaning they usually arrive by the first Monday of the Rental Period
  • Artifact Trunks must be shipped back by 8:00am on the final Friday of the Rental Period
    
  • All dates are subject to change based on shipping issues outside of History Colorado's control
• Late return and replacement fees may apply
